Start of school arrangements

The school entry gate (Bournehall Avenue) will open at 8.40am and we will continue to use the one way system, exiting via the Moatfield Road gate, as in previous years.  Please wait on the school playground next to your child’s classroom until a member of staff welcomes you into the class.

The classroom doors for children in Year 1-6 from 8.40am-8.50am.  Registration is at 8.50am prompt and school gates will close immediately after this time. 

Reception parents/carers have already been informed of their child’s start of term arrangements.  

School uniform

Please ensure your child is wearing the correct, full school uniform upon returning to school. Long hair should be tied up, this applies to both boys and girls. All belongings should be clearly labelled to avoid misplacing of uniforms. Please ensure your child has the correct footwear, trainers and boots are not appropriate.   Children should wear the full school PE kit on the days of their PE lessons as below:

School Equipment

All children from Year 3-6 will be required to bring in their own fully equipped pencil case on the first day of school. They will need to provide their own stationary as set out in the equipment list below. We will provide equipment for all other year groups. Please ensure your child has a named water bottle in school each day.

The size of your child’s pencil case needs to be able to fit into their drawer. 

• 2 handwriting pens (Only for children with a pen licence)

• 2 pencils
• rubber
• sharpener
• ruler
• glue stick
• coloured pencils

Attendance

All parents/carers should be aware of the school attendance policy (please see the attendance policy on the school website).  The school will not authorise holidays during school term time.  Children that arrive after 9am are classed as late and this will be recorded as an unauthorised absence.  

Meet the Teacher Evening

The Meet the Teacher Evenings will take place from 10th-19th September straight from school, 3.25pm.   Year 4 will also be discussing their Residential trip in June 2025.  Children are welcome to join you, please see the timetable below:
