THE WIDER CURRICULUM
SPORT
Bournehall pupils participate in a broad range of sporting events. We aim to provide enriched sporting opportunities, both through high quality PE teaching and through sporting events.
Daily Activity
Children join in with a Daily Activity - based on the Daily Mile which has successfully been spreading across the U.K. and Europe. The purpose of this initiative is to promote the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our children – regardless of age or personal circumstances.
The concept behind the Daily Activity is quite simple. Without wasting time to change into kit, every child in the school participates in an activity for 10 minutes every day. These activities can range from running, walking, jogging, dancing, and yoga. It is not PE, sport or cross-country but a physical activity which is aimed at improving the children's physical, social, emotional and mental health and well-being. It can help children to focus and concentrate in the classroom and raise their attainment.
In addition to curriculum PE and sporting competitions, we offer a comprehensive range of extra-curricular clubs including netball and football.
